Delivering More Than a Meal
Volunteering to deliver Meals on Wheels is a great way to make a huge impact in a short amount of time.
New volunteers are trained by existing volunteers, in ride-alongs, where you will learn the route, and be introduced to meal recipients so you are comfortable when you go solo.
The Meals on Wheels volunteer day starts between 10:30 am and 11:00 am and is typically done between Noon and 1:00 pm, depending on the length and location of your route.
Most folks volunteer one day a week; some help out 2 or 3 or even 5 days a week. It's up to you.
If you want, volunteer with a friend or spouse; it's a fun way to spend time together, while meeting such an important need in your community
Don't worry about the commitment. If you have an appointment, or take a vacation, or just aren't feeling well, there are other volunteers and staff who can fill in for you.
Call or email your local contact, below, to find out more. And thanks for considering being a Meals on Wheels volunteer.
